Our exercise class program offers a variety of classes to meet a whole host of exercise needs. The goal of our class programme is to create a positive environment by providing fun, safe, effective classes in search of a healthy lifestyle.
All our classes are led by dynamic, fully qualified instructors and highly motivated instructors
who will target a variety of fitness goals. These include cardio conditioning, flexibility training, strength training and conditioning, as well as alignment and movement. Some classes use a range of equipment such as resistance bands, free weights, aerobic steps, agility equipment, mats, all designed to get the most out of your workouts.Freestyle Fitness deliver serveral sessions in parnership with the Trust. Enthusiastic, motivating and inspiring instructors coupled with excellent music deliver these unique workouts, so for something specialcome along and try out a session. Aqua Aerobics
A full body workout that uses water as a resistance, suitable for both swimmers and non swimmers alike. An invigorating workout. Suitable for all levels of Fitness
For an upbeat aqua aerobic session we host Freestyle Fitness who deliver their unique Aquarobix sessions.
Body Conditioning/ Legs Bums and Tums etc.
A conditioning class that may include equipment such as hand weights, body bands and steps to improve body tone and strength. Floor work is included for at total head to toe workout. Suitable for all levels of Fitness
Circuit training
An instructor led station workout to increase endurance and muscular strength. Maximum results in a short space of time. Try the Early Bird Circuit for an early morning wake up session - sure to start your day off on the right foot!
Spinning
An instructor led cycle class that is fat burning ,muscle toning and figure shaping. Come and Cycle to motivating music for either 30 minutes or 45 minutes
Step
Exercising to music with a step platform that will give you great results. Easy to follow choreography that involves either low or high impact moves.
Pilates
A gentle controlled workout that will improve your posture, tone and strengthen your muscles.
Boxercise
A fitness class combining traditional boxing moves and techniques without physical contact. The class may include work with punch bags, pads and speedballs, along with circuit training and skipping.The focus is on upper body conditioning, working the arms, abs, chest and shoulders. An excellent, fun way to shed those pounds, burn fat, tone muscles and improve overall fitness levels.
Aqua natal
Exercises for pregnant women that is carried out in water. Classes are usually conducted by a Physiotherapist and offer women an opportunity to exercise safely and effectively from the twentieth to the fortieth week of pregnancy.
Ultimate/Body Pump
This combines high repetition weight training with aerobic conditioning. It will tone and condition your body, help you lose weight and ultimately change your body shape in record time.
Yoga
Yoga will balance the body, mind and spirit with a combination of gently exercises that stretch, reshape and strengthen the body. It is an excellent discipline that can be enjoyed by participants of all ages and fitness levels.
Tai Chi
Tai Chi, can be best thought of as a moving form of yoga and meditation combined. There are a number of so- called forms/sets which consist of a sequence of movements. Many of these movements are originally derived from the martial arts although the way they are performed in Tai Chi is slowly, softly and gracefully with smooth and even transitions between them.
Ultimate Combat
An intensive cardiovascular workout based on movements from martial arts.
Holistic Fusion/Body Balance
A mixture of yoga, tai chi, pilates and body conditioning in a balanced workout that will reinforce ideal body alignment.
Aerobics
A highly effective aerobic class, which improves stamina, reduces body fat to highly motivating music. A must for all aerobic fans! For an upbeat aerobics class join a workout with our resident Freestyle Fitness instructors who deliver their Fantastic Aeromix sessions.
Step Aerobics
Step aerobics was designed to be a low-impact, higher intensity alternative to floor aerobic workouts. As your fitness improves with consistent, regular aerobic workouts, your body adapts to that level of intensity so you must work harder to maintain your target training heart rate during an aerobic workout. The intensity of a step workout can be varied: step height, propulsion or power moves, arm moves, choreography, length of workout and music tempo.
