On the 24th of April 2005, Trafford Community Leisure Trust with the help of Steven parry, Tony the Tiger and the ASA launched its revised swimming programme- Swim Well.
The revised programme brings all the 5 pools managed by the Trust in line with one another and provides a comprehensive swimming programme that covers club swimming, learn to swim, elite swimming and swimming for health and fitness. Swim well encompases these areas into 4 areas these are "Develop Well, Train Well, Keep & Train Well and Perform Well"
The launch saw Steven along with 100 children from across the borough take part in several fun sessions lead by the swim well coaches. This included Steven recreating that fantastic moment from last year when he took bronze behind Stephen Phelps (USA), Takashi Yamamoto (Japan). However Sundays recreation saw Phelps and Yamamoto replaced by Lauren Beaumont (age 9) and C J Ashton (age 7), and were unfortunately piped at the post by Steven!
