James Stannard ready to make waves with Swim Trafford!
Trafford Community Leisure Trust and the Swim Trafford Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Head Performance Coach, James Stannard.
James is set to join us from BOSSS in the North East, in early June 2011 - just in time to lead the team to the British Gas National Championships in the summer.
Having been with BOSSS since September 2008, James has lead the swimmers to success on the National & International stage. To date, he has European Championship qualifiers and a flurry of National Medallists under his belt and is hoping to continue and build on his successes with Swim Trafford.
His achievements have also been recognised by the National Governing Body (ASA) as James was selected to join the £10 million scheme the 'Advanced Coaching Offer'. This investment in coach education and development was offered to only a handful of the countries brightest stars and Trafford feels very proud to have James on board!
James will be starting with the Trust in early June and will be 100% committed to leading and improving the swimmer pathway in the Borough of Trafford as well as working with the 4 Develop Well clubs and the Begin Well scheme to ensure a seamless transition for all who want to develop in the sport.
