Street to Stadium

Who Can Apply?

Street to Stadium grants are intended to support individual young people (11-19 years of age) with difficult social or personal circumstances and for whom sport and leisure has the potential to make a difference to their lives. The individual grant will support the nominated young person in either the provision of, or access to, sport and leisure opportuntites. This may be as a participant, volunteer, leader, official or administrator.

It should be emphasised that Street to Stadium grants are not restricted to or tageted at young people with talent for a particular sport. On the contrary they are for personal rather than talent development. They are for vulnerable young people for whom sport or leisure oppportunities could make a difference by providing participation or training opportunities which they may otherwise be denied.

Examples for which grants may be applied are:

Provision of essential equipment
Travel for coaching, training, or competition
Child care costs for young single mothers whilst attending coaching, training or competition
Course fees and subsistence etc

The minimum grant is £50 and the maximum grant will normally be £500 although this will be reconsidered in very special circumstances. However, the maximum grant to any one individual over a three year period will be £1500.

How to Apply?
