Clubmark Accreditation

Clubmark accreditation is an excellent way of Clubs gaining recognition for the great work that they undertake and reward for the quality experience they offer to their members.

Working towards and ultimately gaining accreditation involves meeting a set of national, Sport England endorsed, standards in four main areas, the playing aspect of the Club, safeguarding and protecting children, equity and club management.

There are two types of accreditation,

  1. National Governing Body for those Clubs whose NGB has an appropriate programme to work towards.
  2. Traffordmark for those Clubs whose NGB does not have an appropriate programme to work towards.

There are benefits packages specific to Trafford for those Clubs either working towards or achieving accreditation. Trafford is currently one of the top boroughs in the Country for this area of development so why not start the process and get the recognition you deserve. For further details and guidance please contact  Jenny Burton .

National Governing Body Accreditation
There are currently 29 National Governing Bodies that have their own accreditation programme with more being developed all the time. This shows the high level of importance being placed on accreditation nationally.

For further details on whether your NGB is one of these go to the Clubmark website at www.clubmark.org.uk. Here you will also be able to learn more about Clubmark accreditation and see how other Clubs have benefitted from it. It is important that you keep Sport Trafford informed of your progress at every step to enable us to offer you as much support as possible and so that the Club gains all the associated benefits.

Traffordmark
Traffordmark accreditation is for those Clubs whose National Governing Body does not yet have its own accreditation programme. The standards that are worked towards are exactly the same as the Clubmark, they are one and the same with. Traffordmark has an additional 6 criteria that put the Trafford into Traffordmark.

Check if your NGB has its own accreditation programme by visiting www.clubmark.org.uk If it is not listed then Traffordmark is the way for you to progress. From the website you will also be able to learn about accreditation and see how other Clubs have benefitted from it. For more details and to register your Clubs interest in working towards Traffordmark accreditation please contact Jenny Burton .
