Sport Trafford and the Trafford School Sports Partnership are celebrating the success of the Borough’s funding bid for the Sport England, Sport Unlimited Programme. The programme will be funded for 3 years and it will support the existing club structure and create new and innovative activities in the Community.  This will be through the delivery of high quality coaching programmes and providing sports club opportunities for young people.

Trafford’s main focus for the first year of the project is to provide secondary schools in Trafford with a girls and boys coaching programme.  In the planning phase we completed consultation with all schools and identified which sports and activities pupils would like to engage in.

We are offering secondary schools over 35 sessions per week in the first phase of the project.  Our aim is to engage 1217 pupils in additional sport and physical activity within the first year of the plan and hopefully pupils will continue to participate in the sports beyond the funding period.
