Sport Trafford play host to a Community Cricket Coach. His role is to enhance and increase participation in the game of Cricket. Sport Trafford and Lanchashire Cricket Board offer a number of cricket schemes to support the individual player, as well as coaching and training sessions within schools for both pupils and staff. The development of cricket also covers coach education, facilities, pitch improvements and funding bids etc.
Trafford has several cricket clubs within its borough with adult and junior sections.
