Rugby

Sport Trafford play host to the RFU’s Community Rugby Coach. His role is to enhance and increase participation in the game of rugby union. Sport Trafford and the RFU offer a number of rugby schemes to support the individual player, as well as coaching and training sessions within schools for both pupils and staff.  The development of rugby also covers coach education, facilities, pitch improvements and funding bids etc.

 

Trafford has 5 rugby clubs within its borough with full mini, junior and senior sections.
