Stretford High School Fun Day
Tuf*C Coaches will be providing sporting activities at the Fun Day Event that will be held at Stretford High School on: Thursday 29th July 2010 12-3pm
This is a family fun event everyone is welcome.
Urbanathlon 2010
Tuf*C are taking part in the Urbanathlon on Sunday 25th July 2010 @ Sportcity in Manchester, for the third time after conquering the 5km obstacle course in 2008/9. The course involves 20 diverse obstacles e.g. jumping over cars, scrambling and dangling from suspended ropes. This will be a great team building event as we will be encouraging each other throughout the race.
Destination Parks 2010
On Friday 23rd July 2010 Ystreet are holding an open event for everybody to come along to parents, toddlers, children are all welcome. It will be held at Longford Park 6pm- 9pm. Tuf*C coaches will be providing sports activities and games for all ages including Basketball, football, tennis and the family favourite Tug-O-War. This year Tuf*C staff and "Pulling Together" a local community group from Old Trafford took part in the Race for Life on Sunday 11th July 10' at Heaton Park. This is a women's only event raising money for Cancer Research. Everyone was very excited and enthusiastic to take part in the 5k walk/run as it was for a very good cause. We all had customized t-shirt representing Tuf*C and Trafford Leisure Trust, which made us stand out from the thousands of women who attended. Some of us that wanted to run trained hard to try and prepare whilst some us where much happier walking around the park. When we arrived at the park we built team spirits by having a game of rounder's, before the race there was a fun warm up session taking place where people could join in to limber up. As the race began some of us set targets to beat their last year time, whilst encouraging others who's first time it was to keep going. Everyone managed to finish the race in one piece with big smiles and feelings of achievement and success.
Race For Life- June 09
Tuf*C and local community groups including 'Pulling Together', 'Culture Clicks' and ''Urban Leisure Attendees' from the Old Trafford community took part in the race for life event on Sunday 21st June 09 held at heaton park. 14 people took part on behalf of Tuf*C and Trafford Community Leisure trust. Everybody had worked hard to get as many sponsors as possible. Some of us had prepared and trained for the 5k run. Before the race we had fun joining in the warm up dance routine, then it was time for the big race. There were three ways of completing the race, walking, jogging, running, all 14 of us completed the race with big smiles on our faces. It was a great achievement and we had a excellent time.
